The method of settling the
question of whether a worker is employed or
self employed is the same in the construction
industry as for any other.
It is rarely to do with length of service,
for it is quite possible for a person to work
for a company for only two weeks and be an
employee in the eyes of the law, while another
could work for years for the same company
and be self employed.

When a company finds that its workers are
employed earners, any payments made must be
treated under PAYE. Our sister company Payeday
Payroll Solutions can help set up a PAYE scheme
and manage every aspect of paying workers
under PAYE.
